Nestled within, the folks of Sjelbygd have sown a different path for learning, where experience is the teacher and the community, the classroom. They draw wisdom from the well of critical pedagogy, and their heritage is the textbook. Schools? We've got them, but not as you'd know them. Our learning spaces bloom from within our homes, our fields, and our gathering spots, each a rich tapestry of diverse thoughts and practical learning. Resource Planning (Ressursplanlegging): Our budgeting process is a collective effort, prioritizing our education initiatives. A portion is always kept aside for education infrastructure and resources.

Agenda Creation (Dagsorden Skapelse): We collaboratively decide our educational priorities, staying true to our alternative pedagogies. The community sets its own learning agendas.

Project Handling (Prosjekt Håndtering): Our project management is a transparent process, ensuring community involvement and ownership. Success is measured by the experiences of learners and educators.

In Sjelbygd, we stand answerable to each other and our shared belief in community-driven learning and critical pedagogy. In place of conventional justice, we practice 'Fornyende Rettferd' (Transformative Fairness), focusing on root-level shifts and dismantling any oppressive structures.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Willing partners, investing in our community education, alternative learning methods, and our infrastructure are always welcome. We host 'Utdanning Fester' (Education Festivals) to exchange and cultivate fresh thoughts on unconventional education.

PARTNERSHIPS

We've adopted 'Deltakende Vurdering' (Participatory Evaluation), empowering learners to evaluate their growth.

A 'Critical Pedagogy Review' assesses the influence of our efforts on learners' critical thinking and social awareness.

We also use 'Peer Evaluation' to allow learners to review each other and measure our collective impact.
